Shipping Policy

This Shipping Policy describes how Sumitomo Electric Hardmetal India Pvt. Ltd. ("we", "us", or "our") handles dispatch, delivery, and logistics for orders placed through our e-commerce platform at www.sumitool.com. By placing an order, you agree to the terms set out below.

Order Processing

Orders are processed on business days (Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays). Once your order is confirmed and payment is verified, we aim to dispatch within 1–2 business days. You will receive a dispatch confirmation email with a tracking number as soon as your order leaves our warehouse.

Orders placed after 2:00 PM IST are treated as received the following business day. Orders placed on weekends or public holidays will be processed on the next working day.

• Minimum order quantity (MOQ) requirements must be met before an order is dispatched.
• Orders requiring special packaging or export documentation may take an additional 1–3 business days.
• Bulk orders (above ₹ 5,00,000 excl. GST) are subject to separate dispatch timelines communicated at the time of order confirmation.

Delivery Zones

We currently ship to all states and union territories within India. Deliveries are made through our authorised logistics partners including Delhivery, Blue Dart, and FedEx India, depending on the destination and order size.

For remote or difficult-to-access locations (certain PIN codes in the North East, Jammu & Kashmir, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, and Lakshadweep), extended delivery timelines may apply and additional freight charges may be levied. These will be communicated before order confirmation.

Delivery Timelines

Delivery timelines are estimates and may vary due to carrier delays, natural events, or circumstances beyond our control. Timelines do not include order processing time.

Shipping Charges

Shipping charges are calculated at checkout based on order weight, dimensions, destination, and selected shipping method.

GST at applicable rates will be charged on shipping fees where required under Indian tax law. All amounts shown above are exclusive of GST.

Order Tracking

Once your order is dispatched, a tracking number and carrier name will be sent to your registered email address. You can track your shipment directly on the carrier's website or through the My Orders section of your account on sumitool.com.

If you have not received your tracking details within 2 business days of order confirmation, please contact our support team at info@sumitool.com.

Damaged or Lost Shipments

We take utmost care in packaging precision cutting tools to prevent damage in transit. In the unlikely event that you receive a damaged shipment, please:

• Refuse delivery if the outer packaging is visibly damaged or tampered with.
• If already accepted, photograph the damaged packaging and products within 24 hours of receipt.
• Report the damage to info@sumitool.com within 48 hours of delivery, with your order number and photographs attached.

For shipments confirmed as lost by the carrier, we will initiate a replacement or full refund after completing an investigation with the logistics partner. This process may take 7–10 business days from the date of the loss report.

International Orders

At present, sumitool.com accepts orders for delivery within India only. For international inquiries, including export orders to SAARC countries, South-East Asia, and the Middle East, please contact our export team at info@sumitool.com or reach out via the Contact Us page.
