Refund & Returns Policy

At Sumitomo Electric Hardmetal India Pvt. Ltd. ("we", "us", or "our"), we stand behind the quality of every product we sell. This Refund & Returns Policy outlines the conditions under which you may return products, request a refund, or initiate a warranty claim for orders placed on www.sumitool.com.

Please read this policy carefully before placing your order. By purchasing from us, you acknowledge and agree to the terms described below.

Return Eligibility

We accept returns within 7 calendar days from the date of confirmed delivery, subject to the following conditions.

All returned items must be in their original, unused condition with factory packaging, labels, and documentation intact. Items that have been mounted, used, or altered in any way are not eligible for return.

Return Process

To initiate a return, follow these steps:

Return shipping costs: If the return is due to our error (wrong item, defective product, transit damage), we will bear the return shipping cost. For all other returns (e.g., ordered by mistake), the customer is responsible for return shipping charges.

Refunds

Once we have completed our inspection and approved your return, we will process your refund within 5–7 business days. Refunds will be credited to the original payment method used at the time of purchase.

• Credit / Debit Card: Refund will reflect within 5–7 business days after processing, depending on your bank's processing time.
• Net Banking / UPI: Refund will be credited within 3–5 business days.
• NEFT / Bank Transfer (for B2B orders): Refund will be processed via NEFT within 7–10 business days. Please ensure your bank details on file are accurate.
• Credit Note: In some cases, we may offer a credit note in lieu of a cash refund, redeemable against future orders on sumitool.com.

Shipping charges (if any) are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error. GST will be refunded in accordance with applicable Indian GST regulations.

Replacements

If you prefer a replacement over a refund, we will dispatch the replacement item after completing the inspection of the returned product. Replacement dispatch timelines are the same as standard order processing (1–2 business days after approval).

Replacements are subject to stock availability. If the exact item is unavailable, we will offer a refund or an equivalent alternative product, at your discretion.

Order Cancellations

Orders may be cancelled without charge if the cancellation request is received before the order is dispatched. To cancel an order, contact us immediately at info@sumitool.com with your order number.

• Before dispatch: Full refund will be processed within 3–5 business days.
• After dispatch but before delivery: You must refuse delivery. Once the item is returned to us, a refund will be processed minus the shipping cost incurred.
• After delivery: Please follow the standard return process outlined above.
• Custom / special-order products: Cannot be cancelled once production or procurement has commenced.

Warranty Claims

All Sumitomo Electric tooling products are manufactured to the highest standards and backed by our quality guarantee. If you believe a product has failed due to a manufacturing defect within its expected service life under normal operating conditions, you may raise a warranty claim.

Warranty claims are evaluated case-by-case by our technical team. To raise a claim:

• Email info@sumitool.com with the subject line "WARRANTY CLAIM — [Order Number]".
• Include photographs or video of the tool failure, the machine/application details, and cutting parameters used.
• Our technical team will respond within 5 business days with an assessment.

Warranty does not cover failure resulting from improper use, incorrect cutting parameters, incompatible toolholders, damage from crashes or mishandling, or wear beyond the product's rated service life.
